What is beech wood, anyway?
Beech wood is a high density, hard-wearing timber that’s very light in colour. Did you know it’s stronger than the mighty oak? And even cooler, beech trees can reach a height of up to 35 meters and can live for 200 years! Now that’s what we call sustainable! Its age, strength, unique graining and versatility make it a stellar material to use in any interior design.

So when it came to building out (literally by hand) our newest collection, we knew beech wood knobs and cabinet handles would bring extra love to homes and to our environment!
Food, preservation and a healthy earth
We stand by beech wood. These incredible trees thrive where other trees do not, standing tall where higher temperatures and precipitation are associated with global warming. These trees provide food for our furry and winged friends (the nuts, flowers and leaves are edible!). And because they grow so dang tall, they store a LOT of CO2 to help preserve our world. We nurture and respect the trees from which our handmade, artisan knobs and cabinet handles are derived. We know their great, beautiful impact!
